May 30, 2009......
The Indiana Thunderwolves had a great weekend at The Midwest Sports
Complex. We didn't place but our record was 3 wins and 1 loss, so we're
still not sure how we didn't advance, but we had a lot of fun. In the
last game Brian took a hard pitch in the hip and had to come out of
the game. He was tough and he fought to stay in the game, but mom had
the last say.
With Nate having a cast
on his right hand and Sean with two fractured fingers, this left us
with only 8 players in the final game. Since the game would not advance
either team. The Storms, and the fine gentlemen that made up their team,
let us borrow a player and what a little super star he was!
John
(Storms) came in and played 2nd base for us and if I remember
correctly, the very first ball hit came to John and he threw a rocket
over to first base to throw out the runner. He didn't stop there! His
first bat was a 2 run double to center field and he continued to play
like a professional until the game was over. He took a little 'ribbing'
from his team mates over playing such a fine game against them. And
we thought they took it very well, until the game was over and someone
turned him upside down on the field. We wish to thank John and the entire
Storms team for a very fun game! We finally have a good picture of John.
(Not the one I took, I still don't have the USB cord I need to get it
off my phone. LOL) In the picture I had, John had much longer hair.
Looks like he went from a cute little boy to a handsome young man with
this new buzz! If you ever need a great player - now you'll know who
he is!!!
